Why Christians Read an Ancient Book

The Bible is ancient. It was written thousands of years ago, by dozens of different authors, in different languages and cultures. So why do Christians today still read it, trust it, and call it the Word of God?

In this episode of Church Folks, we take an honest look at why Christians believe the Bible is trustworthy. We explore the historical evidence behind the biblical manuscripts, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the formation of the New Testament canon, and the testimony of early Christian writers. But more importantly, we look at what the Bible says about itself, and what it means for Scripture to be the God-breathed Word that teaches, corrects, shapes, and transforms us.

The Bible may be an ancient book, but Christians believe its message is anything but outdated.

God has spoken. And if God has spoken, we should listen.
